What does iStore run on?
iStore is a Microsoft Windows program and runs happily on Win7, Win8, Win10 and Win11
Can I use a barcode scanner?
Yes barcode scanners are supported. Every product that you add has a field for the barcode, once entered you only need to scan to identify the product.
Note that iStore does not print barcodes, there are plenty of free utilities that do that job such as Presilo Label.
What scanners are supported?
USB scanners or wireless scanners that use a USB dongle are supported. The scanners that are not supported are the ones that batch up the scanned barcodes and then download them typically as a csv file.
If the scanner sends the barcode each time a scan is performed then it will be supported.
Can I change currency?
Yes, there is a single currency character that you can change e.g. $ £ €
You can even change the name of the sales tax e.g. VAT, state tax
Can I install this on more than one machine?
iStore is licensed per PC so you will need a copy for each machine you plan to install it on.
Can I network multiple copies?
iStores uses a file based database, if you host this file on a server machine on your network then you can access this database from multiple copies.
What language is supported?
Sorry all messages are in English only.
Can I import my existing products?
Yes you can import products from a CSV file to speed initial setup.
Can I export to excel?
Yes, you can export most items to a CSV file which excel can open.
Does this integrate with eBay Amazon my website?
No, it is stand alone, all sales are entered manually.
